My name is Janette and I have been a teacher since 2004. I have taught students in public schools from ages 4-18 in Oklahoma and Kansas. I have been teaching online for five years and I have taught thousands of classes online. I have a TEFL certification and master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in English as a Second Language. I have a bachelor’s degree in child development with an emphasis in early childhood education and I am writing my dissertation for my PhD in early childhood education.
I enjoy traveling internationally, reading, cooking, scrapbooking, and watching American football and baseball with my family. I love visiting and learning about other countries and hosting exchange students from around the world. I also love spending time with my family. My daughter and son-in-law live nearby and we visit them often. My son lives in Spain and we try to visit him once a year.
I am a patient and happy teacher. I enjoy teaching one-on-one with students to maximize their learning and individualize instruction. I believe learning should be fun and I incorporate props, music, total physical response (TPR), and pictures in class to help students learn English.
